My father

Mark Mason

My father has demonstrated to me that if I want anything in life I must work hard for it. He is a true inspiration to me and many people he comes in contact with. I am glad that God made me his daughter. He has never told me "no" when I ask for something, even when he knew it would be in my best interest not to get it. Those times that he wanted to say no are the times that I learned from my mistakes. He never told me when someone wasn't right for me, it was then that I found out for myself who WAS right for me. After is when he told me his true feelings. He always went out of his way to make our family and me happy. He kelp secrets from me to keep me safe and not make the mistakes he made. When I found out those secrets I was then old enough to know right from wrong. He has pushed me to do my best and succeed in everything I do.  We may not say I Love You everytime we hang up the phone but we know that we love each other no matter what. He works so far away but everytime he comes home we greet each other with a hug. He has more friends than any man I can think of and I call his friends my own. I look up to him and cherish every minute I have with him. He is the master of all cooks and the dad of all dads. I would not be the woman I am today if he wasn't the man I called Dad. Thanks Dad for the support you give to me and the love that will last a life time!

New Beginnings

Well I finally got a scanner so I can begin blogging about my life.
This is where is all begins...after we got married!
On October 11, 2008, Jeremy and I became one.

On our big day I was honored to be able to use my brothers house, less than a mile from the wedding site, to get ready.
The day was such a nice and beautiful day.

Our minister for the wedding was my cousin Brother Ed Avans.
I am not sure what Jeremy was thinking...
as I walked down the isle.
I guess it wasn't to run because we exchanged vows anyway.
I am so glad that I got to share this day with my parents and....
Jeremy's parents.
Our grandparents were there to support us on this special day. If you will notice we are very fortunate to have parents and grandparents who are with their original spouses, we have no step parents or grandparents. What role models we have to live within us. It is so rare to find that now. My grandpa Smith is not present in this picture.

They say that opposites attract.

Jeremy had such a hard time opening his mouth for the cake, but on the other hand

I didn't have a problem. Yes my mouth is bigger than his. Another thing that Jeremy don't like to do is dance, but I do so we danced.

Everyone has to have the "Chicken Dance" played at their wedding.
I had a father daughter dance picture but I will save that for my daddy's Father's Day message. Speaking of my father, he was the one to cook the wonderful meal at our wedding. He and my mother flew in on Friday to a work in progress. The people that helped prepare this wonderful food was my father, Mickey Guinn, Greg Paradise, my brother and his wife Beth Ann, Jannis Woodall, my Grandmothers Edna and Billie Jean, and my mother. The cakes were made by Mrs. Hill. I had many people to help serve it that included Phil Davis, Deb Davis, Tina Edmonds, Jannis Woodall, Elaine Potter, Hailey Prince, and Bethany Smith. If I am leaving anyone out I am sorry but it was such a hectic day.
Jeremy always gives me this look...
and I often get this one too followed by a "well".
Thanks for viewing our wedding day. I will have more blogs to come.
